Abstract: Alignment of gene sequences、Mining and functional analysis are the most basic scientific problems in computational biology。This report focuses on these three aspects to introduce some of the speaker’s achievements in recent years。In terms of sequence alignment,Introducing a multi-sequence alignment and evolutionary tree construction algorithm based on suffix trees and parallel acceleration;In gene mining,Introducing some of my work in microRNA identification in recent years,The main contribution is to explore high-quality counterexample data and design a new ensemble classifier;In gene function analysis,Introducing the work of gene-disease association analysis and gene-crop yield association analysis respectively。
About the speaker:
Zou Quan,Received a PhD from the School of Computer Science, Harbin Institute of Technology in 2009。Later worked in the Department of Computer Science of Xiamen University and School of Computer Science of Tianjin University,Joined the Institute of Basic and Frontier Research of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China at the end of 2018。Main research direction is bioinformatics。Currently,More than 80 papers published as the first author or corresponding author and indexed by SCI。Google Scholar shows more than 5,000 citations,The representative work was published in Briefings in Bioinformatics、Bioinformatics、Published in well-known bet365 online sports betting mobile journals such as PLoS Computational Biology。In recent years,Served as Editor-in-Chief of the SCI journal Current Bioinformatics,Served as a reviewer for several magazines such as Nature Methods。
